Mark's crew strikes gold with bent rods and smiles in Crystal River!
Action-packed day from the get-go! Mark and their crew joined us for an early morning summer inshore fishing trip. We launched around 8:00 am into partly cloudy skies with some rain rolling through Crystal River. The conditions were perfect for what we had planned - a solid day of bottom fishing, casting with lures, and live bait fishing.
Once the stage was set, we got our lines in the water and the bite was hot right away. Mark and crew hooked up early with a nice mix of Speckled Trout, Largemouth Bass, and Kelp Bass using our bottom fishing setup. We also managed to land some Golden perch, Peacock Bass, Florida Bass, and Yellow Bass throughout the day. Crystal River's inshore waters are perfect for this kind of variety - the structure holds fish and the current keeps the bait moving. We wrapped up with bent rods all morning and smiles all around!
